You may think that your AC freezing up means that you will get cold air in your home. You couldn’t be further from the truth.
AC works through balancing pressure, temperature, and airflow. Freezing may be caused by a lack of airflow in your AC. Lack of airflow may be caused by a collapsed duct, a bad blower motor, low voltage to the fan, and an air filter that is clogged. Dust may be blocking the coils, and the AC may be low on refrigerant, also causing the AC to freeze up and stop working.
